Luxury 82 foot classic timber cruiser MV Baroness brings in the new year in
style.
It’s that time of year to let go of the old year and ring in the new, with Brisbane
City Council’s annual New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
Patrons enjoy a fabulous vantage point from the bow and foredeck of the MV
Baroness, known as the most spacious in its class.
Enjoy top-notch live entertainment by Queensland’s premier “power
duo” Body and Soul. Sandra Beynon and Sean Mullen grace the best stages in
Queensland and are known for their enormously wide range of repertoire – from
cool jazz, blues and funk to start off the evening, building up to some fierce
rock tunes (think Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Robert Palmer, Def Leppard,
Metallica, Status Quo – and everything in between.
Baroness sets sail from Hamilton for the commercial-vessel zone in the CBD
river reaches, drops anchor in time for the early fireworks; then enjoy the
river breezes and city lights until the fireworks extravaganza at midnight.
An individual cheese and charcuterie cup will be provided for each
guest along with a welcome drink of your choice – beer, wine, champagne or
spirits. Cocktails will be $15 all night and you’ll be dancing the night
away to Body and Soul.
Guests may move around the vessel, upstairs and down, inside and out, as
they desire. During the fireworks, low beach-chairs are set up on
the foredeck for more comfortable seating ad great views of the Fireworks.
Please note: the buffet meal provided will be finalised and published closer
to the event. Vegetarians will be catered for but for large events such
as this, we cannot cater for vegan, dairy-free or coeliac.
Please note: this event is not suitable for patrons with mobility
issues (wheelchairs or walkers) and it is an 18+ EVENT.
